I want to celebrate by sharing a little behind the scenes work with y’all. I took the leap of faith to grow the practice I envisioned for myself actually starting in 2020 after the C word. I knew the corporate world wasn't going to satisfy me. This is actually my 3rd rodeo since then but I can promise I’m not leaving for now. It is a serious commitment and a lot more work than I expected but one of the most rewarding things to work on, A business designed by you. Last year at this time, I worked in one of the largest hotels and most beautiful spas around…. well, in the entire country (Grove Park Inn). They trained me heavily in service skills specific to massage therapy I didn’t even know I was missing, and a few other modalities I thought I didn’t really need but learned anyway which has come to me in a whole new light. As I worked there, I dreamed of what I would do differently. We all love to hate our jobs cause we would do it better right. lols! I worked there for the first 7 months of Jewels Bodywork and tried to juggle it all until I couldn't and it was a bitter sweet time to leave.
I sincerely love sports and I view athletics as art. Sports were my biggest life learning hobby as a kid and still is, the skills in sport endeavors have kept me continuously growing. I want to always emphasize those s values, How important it is to care for your body through exercise, massage, and movement. It doesn’t matter your sport, they all carry so many similar principles. Practicing growth skills through a challenge that you find fun and challenging.
SO Thankful for the support of my gym for providing me with the SPACE to create my vision at my own pace. @NCOPENGYM. My first client was one of the gym owners who kept being a little birdie in my ear of confidence and growth. I am now in my 3rd office space and while every time was scary it was a necessary move to align. Some supporters who really convinced me I was ready at the time, my always number one supporter James, some fellow practitioners @performance.ability who encouraged me to teach classes and have some extra faith in my voice, @resurgenceptclinic who consistently encouraged & supported @vertexsportsmassage who welcomed me to share a space with him as I grew into my own. @Prolificbodywork for providing a mentorship program to rocket boost my growth! There is mannnnny more but they planted seeds with me.
I would like to share that my dreams are way bigger than what I'm doing right now. DREAM BIG and your work will seem like baby steps there. Imagine what we can do in a decade if this happened in a year…& if I never get there I enjoy the journey & imagination everyday. I enjoy believing they are even possible. I enjoy working with clients everyday and they tell me it shows! That makes me smile bigggg. Thank you, thank you, thank you for all your support. I am rewarding myself with a trip to see friends and family for the holidays, dreaming of the sand in my toes, and taking some wind down days. I will be Out of Office from Dec 22- Jan 2 if you would like to schedule before year end now is the time! I have gift cards available for the holidays if you would like to gift a session to a special person. Please contact me if you have any questions. Here is some stats from my first year +1 month because last month just doesn’t count! Those calories didn’t count! I am currently having a whole new set of revelations from this recent natural disaster that continue to unfold. & I will leave it at that :)

Spaces- I outgrew 2 spaces in months. I promise I will be at my location for at least a while lol I would love more room but also like my freedom and rent. I love NCOG the OG office but it isn't quiet enough for the environment I want with barbells slamming. 2nd space- Sharing an office I couldn’t decorate with my own stuff or organize my way is hard when it's my representation to clients. It served a massive purpose for me temporarily and we had some great convos about our field, thankful for my time there and the networking connection.
Overworking for $$
Neglecting my personal time for business.
Changed my mind…
My worth financially and with time.
I increased my rates after calculating what I feel I need to make a living with how much I can honestly work hands on a week. I intend to give myself a raise again when I see the time fit economically. Unfortunately, I'm not feeling the time is now with the rebuild.
I stopped going over time “because I can”. It shows me respect for my own rules and values.
I'm done giving out free sessions to friends or highly valued people so I can have their support and hope to get new clients. I have just outgrown the space for that, if I had it I may potentially change that again. I think this is a great startup revenue plan but some people will just take it and they don't have the space to give back.
I don't really offer discounts because I am stern in my value, isn’t it annoying when things are always on SALE but up marked. That's not me. If you have the bravery to come to me and tell me I can’t afford you but I really need help, that is a different story.
Offering sliding scale publicly for the next 3 weeks and then it is time to return to my original boundaries.

Gratitude Everyday
Most Importantly, There would be no me without you. Gratitude for the support in every way. Thankful for the rejections, the lessons, the growth, the space to flourish and create my dreams. Here if ya need me.
